While trained as an algebraic geometer, my research focus now primarily lies in mathematical phylogenetics. I am interested understanding how models of small scale evolution can be scaled to understand the evolution of large number of organisms.
My research is currently funded by NSF grant DMS 1616186. See grants page for further details.
I have been fortunate to publish a variety of articles both in mathematical phylogenetics and on other topics largely driven by the interests and experiences of my students. See publication page for further details.
